The Church in Qatar

Dreams and Visions

Over the past years thousands of Muslims have met Jesus through dreams and visions. Many have put their faith in HIM. Take a few minutes today and ask the Holy Spirit to pour out more of HIS dreams and visions to Muslims in Qatar.   Father, we also pray for the Church in Qatar to be prepared to love and nurture these newborn ones who put their trust and entire life in YOUR mighty hands.

We Are Not Ashamed, For the Gospel is the Power of God to Save

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the (people in Qatar). For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, ?The righteous shall live by faith.? Romans 1:16-17   Heavenly Father give Your children in Qatar the boldness and power to be unashamedly bold in their faith of You. May they be fishers of men.

The Sword of the Spirit

Thank you, Lord for the double edge sword of the Spirit, your Word, your divine power with which strongholds in Qatar can be demolished. With the authority given us, we want to ?plunge? your Word into the situation in the country, in Jesus name. Be glorified, Lord in the nation!   Photo credit: A. Sergeev

Here Comes Another Wave of Revival

?Revival is just you and me walking along the highway in complete oneness with the Lord Jesus and with one another, with cups continually cleansed and overflowing with the life and love of God? ? Roy Hession, ?The Calvary Road?   Revival is a state of abiding. Revival is constant connection with God that leads to God-filled connections between people. We need revival in Qatar. We long for Jesus to be glorified as His life overflows in and through us.   Father we pray that believers (expat and local) in Qatar would encounter God powerfully, in complete unity. We pray…

Father, What is Your Prayer?

?The task is not to get God to do something I think needs done, but to become aware of what God is doing so that I can participate in it.? ?Eugene Peterson   Father God, I don?t want to tell you what to do in Qatar today according to my good ideas. I want to listen to you. I want to hear what is on your heart for Qatar today. And that is what I want to pray back to you. In this way, I know that you will do what I ask in Your Name, Jesus. Still my heart…

The Lord Has Not Given You a Spirit of Fear

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ?Peace be with you! ? ?John 20:19   Lord Jesus, Emmanuel, we pray against the spirit of fear among your children in Qatar. May all your disciples experience your supernatural presence and peace every day.

Prayer Births Great Things

?Anything creative, anything powerful, anything biblical, insofar as we are participants in it, originates in prayer.? -Eugene Peterson What an exciting thought.  We serve a mighty, powerful, creative and good God.  Prayer is our primary means of communication with Him. Dear Jesus, we lift up Qatar to you. Thank you that you have Sons and Daughters in that land, both Qatari and expatriate. I pray that you would strengthen them today. For those who are struggling with fear, or discouragement, or are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus, I pray that you would surround them with your peace and presence. Meet…

The Fruit of the Spirit

?Prayer is nourished and flourishes when it is firmly rooted in the creative and redemptive word of the living God.? ? Eugene Peterson   Today, as we pray for Qatar, start your prayers by asking God to give you a Scripture to pray from. Read through the Scripture three times slowly, asking God to show you how to turn that Scripture into a prayer. An example:   “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” ?Galatians 5:22-23   Father, I pray today that your Church…

The Women Seeking God

?Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: ?I have seen the Lord! ? And she told them that he had said these things to her. ? ?John 20:18 Lord, your ways are truly not our ways and your thoughts not ours. Thank you for breaking the cultural code of the time and appeared first to a woman who was seeking you outside the tomb. We pray for all the seeking women in Qatar to see you as the Risen Lord.

Plant Your Church, Lord

Jesus, we ask for a church planting movement in Qatar today. Nothing is impossible for you. Please start small groups in homes, on university campuses, and other places that will multiply across the nation. Amen!

The Lord’s Shepherds of the Flock in Qatar

A South Sudanese worshipper arrives to attend Sunday prayers in Baraka Parish church at Hajj Yusuf, on the outskirts of Khartoum, February 10, 2013. Sudan

Father, we lift up the church pastors in Qatar today. We ask that you would speak into their lives and direct their paths. May they know what is on Your heart for Qatar. Give them a passion for bringing believers in Qatar together for worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship. Give them a vision for reaching Qatar with your Gospel.

Strengthen the Workers, Lord

Jesus, we ask you to strengthen the workers and believers in Qatar today. We specially ask for expat workers that are new to Qatar that you would help them in their time of transition and settling into this country. Help them with language learning. Encourage them today.
