Speak Lord

?Prayer is nourished and flourishes when it is firmly rooted in the creative and redemptive word of the living God.? ? Eugene Peterson Today, as we pray for Qatar, start your prayers by asking God to give you a Scripture to pray from. Read through the Scripture three times slowly, asking God to show you how to turn that Scripture into a prayer. An example: ?I don?t think the way you think. The way you work isn?t the way I work.? God?s Decree. ?For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you…

Doubt

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ?Peace be with you! ? Then he said to Thomas, ?Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.? Thomas said to him, ?My Lord and my God! ? ?John 20:26-28   Compassionate, merciful, loving and patient Lord, we praise you for reaching out to all who doubt. We know it is your desire that all should believe and be…

Prayer Births Great Things

?Anything creative, anything powerful, anything biblical, insofar as we are participants in it, originates in prayer.? -Eugene Peterson What an exciting thought.  We serve a mighty, powerful, creative and good God.  Prayer is our primary means of communication with Him. Dear Jesus, we lift up Qatar to you. Thank you that you have Sons and Daughters in that land, both Qatari and expatriate. I pray that you would strengthen them today. For those who are struggling with fear, or discouragement, or are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus, I pray that you would surround them with your peace and presence. Meet…

The Lord’s Shepherds of the Flock in Qatar

A South Sudanese worshipper arrives to attend Sunday prayers in Baraka Parish church at Hajj Yusuf, on the outskirts of Khartoum, February 10, 2013. Sudan

Father, we lift up the church pastors in Qatar today. We ask that you would speak into their lives and direct their paths. May they know what is on Your heart for Qatar. Give them a passion for bringing believers in Qatar together for worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship. Give them a vision for reaching Qatar with your Gospel.

Open Doors

Today we ask you God, in the name of Jesus, to open doors of opportunity, God ordained encounters and divine appointments for those believers in Qatar to speak life into the lives of the lost. We ask for your hedge of protection around them both day and night.

God Always Answers

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24) Thank you that we can ask for things and be confident that you will answer them, Lord. We ask for your protection over your Believers in Qatar. We pray that you will give them courage instead of fear. And wisdom to know how you want them to witness for you and serve you.

Strengthen Your Church

Thank you Father for the small, but growing, number of believers in Qatar. We know its not an easy place to be a follower of Jesus, so we ask you to strengthen them and protect them. We ask that you grow them in love and fellowship with each other. We pray that you will give them opportunities this week to share the Gospel with someone who is hungry to know.

Holy Spirit You Are Welcome Here

Father we pray for a new, massive tsunami wave of The Holy Spirit over the Church in Qatar, and the believers in Qatar. Pray for the Spirit to revive the dead bones, that the believers of Qatar would seek Pentecost to revisit every church and spirit of fire to remove all coldness from the bride of Christ that they may be empowered and emboldened to preach the Gospel!
