Month: August 2014 - Pray For Qatar

ASK, SEEK, KNOCK.

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” ~Luke 11:9-10 We are asking, seeking, and knocking. Pray that all people in Qatar have the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are praying for Qatar and raising awareness so that others will pray. Will you join us in doing the same?

THE HUMAN RIGHT

The Human Right is to know Jesus. Sadly, almost 3 billion people have never heard a presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Most of the people living in Qatar are in this situation. Join us in praying for Qatar regularly. We are praying that the silence would be broken and that all people in Qatar would be able to hear about Jesus Christ in their lifetime and that they would receive Christ as their Savior. Also check out The Human Right Movement, and remember to pray for Qatar as you do. thehumanright.org

5 OUT OF 6

DSC_5085

“Today 5 out of 6 non-Christians in our world have no hope unless missionaries come to them and plant the church among them.” —David Bryant How daunting the task appears to be that 5 out of 6 non-Christians have no hope unless someone is sent to them. But with God, all things are possible. We know and believe that God wants all people to have the opportunity to accept Christ as their savior. We know and believe that with God this task of taking the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to the unreached is possible. Pray that God calls missionaries to…

THE GREATEST NEED

“We can reach our world, if we will. The greatest lack today is not people or funds. The greatest need is prayer.” —Wesley Duewel All of Qatar needs your prayers; the nationals, the expats, the old, the young, the government officials, the migrant workers. Qatar is considered unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nearly 2 million people are living in darkness. Pray for the wide variety of people living in Qatar. Pray that they all encounter Jesus Christ and turn to Him for salvation and life.

WOULD YOU BE WILLING?

“If we are true intercessors, we must be ready to take part in God’s work on behalf of the people for whom we pray.” —Corrie Ten Boom As you are praying with us for Qatar, ask yourself, “If God called me to go to Qatar, would I be obedient?” Our prayer is that God raises up prayer intercessors for Qatar and that God calls missionaries to go to Qatar. Pray the same thing today.

FEAR vs BOLDNESS

In 2012, the number of Qatari believers in Qatar doubled. . From one to two. . Growth is often slow. Qatar allows foreigners to worship fairly freely, and when there are problems, foreigners likely just face removal from Qatar. But for Qataris who decide to follow Jesus, the price is much higher. When planting the Church in a place it doesn’t exist, missionaries, new believers, and even seekers will face spiritual warfare and persecution. It can range from distractions to serious health problems, insomnia and nightmares, minor irritations and traumatic events. At every turn, there is temptation to quit, to be silent. Fear…

INTERCESSORY PRAYER…

“In no other way can the believer become as fully involved with God’s work, especially the work of world evangelism, as in intercessory prayer.” —Dick Eastman Prayer. It’s as simple as that. Having a conversation with God. Interceding: bringing requests of others before Him. Join us in interceding for Qatar so that they may hear the Gospel, experience the power of God, and come to salvation in Jesus Christ.

A GLOBAL VISION

“We must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God.” —John Stott As followers of Jesus, we are called to pray for all people. This is what Pray For Qatar is all about. We are about praying for all the people living in Qatar so that they will be able to hear the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and come to salvation in Him. Join us in praying for Qatar. Together our prayers can make a difference for the future of this influential nation. Join the prayer team!

NO SUCH THING AS A CLOSED COUNTRY

“Prayer needs no passport, visa or work permit. There is no such thing as a ‘closed country’ as far as prayer is concerned.” —Stephen Gaukroger Although Qatar may be difficult to physically access, every single person can pray for God’s power to be displayed and for people to come to salvation in Jesus Christ in Qatar. JOIN US in praying for Qatar–each one of us can make a difference with our prayers.

A WARTIME MISSION

“Until you know that life is war, you cannot know what prayer is for: Prayer is for the accomplishment of a wartime mission.” —John Piper Pray with us for Qatar today! Pray that God’s mission in Qatar, that all would be able to come to salvation in Jesus Christ, would quickly become a reality in Qatar.

PSALM 78:1-8

In Qatar, 26% of the population is 24 years old and younger; that’s just over a quarter of the population. We teach our children everything they are to know in life, from caring for themselves, to how to function in the society and culture they live in, to behaviors, to literacy and how to learn and think for themselves. Young people have the greatest capacity to absorb information and learn, and they are the most shapeable when it comes to their thinking, thoughts and opinions. It is so critical that the younger generation of Qatar comes to salvation in Jesus…

PRAYING FOR KHALID & OTHERS LIKE HIM

khalid1

Read Khalid’s profile. God, You’ve given Khalid more than he needs. Thank You that his response is generosity. Yet he and so many like him are wandering aimlessly through young adulthood. They are empty, searching for something to satisfy the cravings of their souls. They will not find it in material possessions. They will not find it in friendships. They will not even find it in Islam. Truly nothing satisfies but You, Lord. Fill their emptiness with You. Give Khalid’s life meaning and purpose. Curb his selfishness. Cultivate in him a desire to live for others instead of himself. Khalid’s name…
