The Lord Has Not Given You a Spirit of Fear

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you! ’ —John 20:19   Lord Jesus, Emmanuel, we pray against the spirit of fear among your children in Qatar. May all your disciples experience your supernatural presence and peace every day.

Prayer Births Great Things

“Anything creative, anything powerful, anything biblical, insofar as we are participants in it, originates in prayer.” -Eugene Peterson What an exciting thought.  We serve a mighty, powerful, creative and good God.  Prayer is our primary means of communication with Him. Dear Jesus, we lift up Qatar to you. Thank you that you have Sons and Daughters in that land, both Qatari and expatriate. I pray that you would strengthen them today. For those who are struggling with fear, or discouragement, or are being persecuted for their faith in Jesus, I pray that you would surround them with your peace and presence. Meet…

The Fruit of the Spirit

“Prayer is nourished and flourishes when it is firmly rooted in the creative and redemptive word of the living God.” – Eugene Peterson   Today, as we pray for Qatar, start your prayers by asking God to give you a Scripture to pray from. Read through the Scripture three times slowly, asking God to show you how to turn that Scripture into a prayer. An example:   “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” —Galatians 5:22-23   Father, I pray today that your Church…

Christ is Risen

Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed! Hallelujah! Praying that many will have their eyes opened to the Savior Jesus Christ today!

The Blessed Hope We Have in Jesus

Father, we pray today that the people of Qatar will know the hope to which you have called them and the glorious inheritance in Jesus name! (Eph. 1:18)

Help Your Laborers Lord

Lord we pray and ask for a small step of progress in the lives and ministry of the workers in Qatar in this coming week. Whatever they need, You know, and we ask for movement, change, progress, breakthrough. In Jesus’ mighty and powerful name we pray, Amen!

Touching the Hearts of the Lost

Lord, we bring Qatar to your feet and ask that you yourself will touch the lost, broken-hearted and those who are imprisoned by religion and wrong thinking. In Jesus name! (Matthew 15:30; Isaiah 61:1)

Thank You for Praying!

One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works. Psalm 145:4-5   Thank you prayer warriors! Prayer is what is making and will make a difference in Qatar!

Praying for Religious Leaders

We pray for religious leaders in Qatar to be confronted with the truth about Jesus. May they have soft hearts, and ready minds to listen and receive understanding. May they begin to lead others in the search for Jesus.

The Lord’s Shepherds of the Flock in Qatar

A South Sudanese worshipper arrives to attend Sunday prayers in Baraka Parish church at Hajj Yusuf, on the outskirts of Khartoum, February 10, 2013. Sudan

Father, we lift up the church pastors in Qatar today. We ask that you would speak into their lives and direct their paths. May they know what is on Your heart for Qatar. Give them a passion for bringing believers in Qatar together for worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship. Give them a vision for reaching Qatar with your Gospel.

Human Rights

In recent years there has been a growing awareness of human rights abuses in Qatar. Secular or nominal Muslim rights advocates have been speaking out against these abuses. Today, we invite you to pray for these human rights advocates. Pray that they may come to know Jesus as their Savior. Pray also that they will have wisdom in their work. May they know what issues to tackle and whom to work together with. Pray for their protection from people with more extreme religious views.

The Precious Word

Today I pray for Qatari nationals who have a copy of God’s Word in their homes and haven’t picked it up lately. May You prompt them to read Your Word again and may it speak directly into their hearts and lives. In Jesus name, Amen!
