We ask that You, God of Heaven and Earth, Maker of all things, and the Ruler of the nations, would prepare the leader and government of Qatar for a mighty harvest that will come. As we pray with expectation for the Church to grow all across the Arab Gulf countries, we also pray in advance that Your Holy Spirit will prepare the hearts and minds of the leaders of these nations. May they respond with wisdom, grace, acceptance and kindness. Amen!
We pray for the salvation of the Emir of Qatar and his family as well as the 35 men that make up the Advisory Council. May they hear and be open to the Gospel. We pray for a holy fear of God to fall upon them. We ask for righteousness and compassion to grow in their hearts as they lead the nation of Qatar. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!

On August 31st, 2014 two UK human rights reporters went missing in Qatar while they were investigating the living and working conditions of Nepalese migrant workers. On September 7th Qatar confirmed that the reporters had been arrested for “violating the laws of Qatar”. Today the British embassy confirmed the reporters’ release and that they will soon be back in the UK. Let’s take this as an opportunity to pray: Pray that the reporters recover from their dramatic experience. Pray that the living and working conditions of the migrant workers in Qatar will drastically improve. Pray that the Qatari government will…

Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.” –Titus 3:1-2 In Titus 3:1-2, and also Romans 13:1-7, we are reminded that as Christians we are to have respect for government authority. We are not to be slanderers, but to be speakers of life. Pray for the government leaders of Qatar. Pray that they would have soft hearts towards Christianity and that they would become believers themselves.
