Forgiveness

“Our FATHER who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us” —Luke 11:2-4   This is not a plea of merit, but a plea of grace. ‘He himself bore our sins’ in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed.’(1 Pet 2:24)   As intercessors we announce forgiveness of sins and healing of wounds to all the people of Qatar in Jesus name.

Jesus, You are the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray that…

May they all extend forgiveness towards their persecutors like Jesus did on the cross and Stephen did when he was being stoned. May they and find comfort in knowing that they have a reward…
