Michael is a western employee at an oil company in Doha. He just arrived in Doha, but this is not his first overseas experience; he has lived in a few other countries for his work as well. Michael is a believer and already senses that there is an obvious spiritual need among the locals. However, he feels bad because he believes he can’t say anything since the law forbids proselytizing Muslims. He wants to reach out to his friends and coworkers, but he doesn’t feel called to cross the cultural boundaries that would take, mostly because he doesn’t know how. Michael makes an effort to be salt and light in the unspoken ways, thinking that’s all he can do.
